Zpacks – Sewing Repair Kit w/ Kevlar Thread
A sewing kit can be really nice to have for repairing clothes and gear.
Hikers with blister problems also use it for putting a thread through a blister and leaving the thread so the liquid can flow out. Use iodine to disinfect the skin on and around the blister first. A good rule is to wait 3 days before puncturing a blister so new skin has grown out underneath, otherwise you can risk infection and severe pain.
A strong thread can also be used to stop bleading in case of an emergency by wrapping if arround an arm, leg or finger multible times.
Please make sure you know what you are doing and you might want to learn first-aid if used for anything else than repairing gear and clothes.
